In many cases of prostate problems, the prostate is enlarged, congested and inflamed. Infection is often present and pain may be experienced. The treatment, according to those who are familiar with the problem, is to reduce as many immunological challenges as possible, to take supplements which help to rebuild the immune response and strengthen the body, to detoxify the body as much as possible, to take supplements with potent antimicrobial activity, and to make certain lifestyle changes concerning diet, exercise, stress, relaxation, etc. The above supplement schedule provides an excellent starting point and the following paragraph makes some other suggestions that may be helpful to you. These suggestions do not necessarily represent a comprehensive program for regaining your health.
Please eat a diet that is relatively low in fat (eat only lean organic poultry and fish – sardines, salmon, tuna, mackerel, trout, and bluefish -- in the amount of a 3-5 ounces per day) and high in fiber containing foods such as organic vegetables (including 16 oz per day of fresh juices from carrot, celery, beets, cabbage, etc.), fruits, whole grains (e.g., brown rice, millet, quinoa, and spelt), beans, nuts and seeds (sunflower, chia, flax, pumpkin, almond, walnut and sesame in small amounts -- 1 or 2 ounces -- are good). Try eating Hank's Vegetable Soup several times a week. Avoid all sweets (sugar), processed/refined foods (white bread and pasta), preservatives, and artificial flavors and colors. Eat foods high in lycopene – such as vine ripened tomato (cooked in olive oil), watermelon, and pink grapefruit. Try not to eat the same thing every day. Symptoms can be exacerbated by allergic reactions to the food you eat. Be observant to correlations between symptoms and the foods you have eaten. You may need to follow an anti-candida program (including probiotics such as Polydophilus) if you have been on antibiotics for an extended period of time.
Avoid exposure to chemicals such as cleaning solvents, pesticides, alcohol, paints, hair sprays, cigarette smoke, gasoline and diesel fumes, wood smoke, gas from kitchen ranges, etc. Be sure to get an adequate amount of exercise for you at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes or more – walking, swimming, yoga, and tai chi are excellent. Please practice stress reduction techniques -- biofeedback, deep breathing exercises, and meditation/prayer are suitable. Get an adequate amount (8 hours) of rest each day and drink plenty of purified water. Avoid sitting for long periods on hard surfaces. Prostate massage by an experienced therapist can be very helpful. Take baths daily with Ancient Minerals Magnesium Flakes (2-3 cups) or Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil (4-8 oz) and baking soda (1-2 cups).
