NUTRITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS & APPLICATIONS: Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that must be obtained from nutritional sources. It may be the only substance in the body capable of breaking free-radical chain reactions, especially those reactions occurring in the fats of cell membranes. Other functions of Vitamin E include the stabilization of cell membranes, protecting the lungs from air pollutants, preventing tumor growth, and protecting the tissues of the skin, eyes, liver, breast, and muscle. Research studies have shown that the d-alpha form of tocopherol is superior to other tocopherols (at least by a factor of two) in breaking free-radical chain reactions in the body. The succinate form is water-soluble and the acetate form is fat-soluble. Individuals with digestive disorders who take the two forms together are more likely to absorb significant amounts of Vitamin E. Most Vitamin E preparations contain soy or other food antigens that may be a source of food-sensitivity reactions. Dry E 400 has specifically been designed to be free of soy and/or other food antigens. COMPOSITION: 1 capsule of Dry E 400 provides the following percentages of the Daily Value:
