SYNERGY C capsules and tablets combines the buffered form of Vitamin C as calcium and magnesium ascorbates (made using a water method to create key metabolites similar to Ester C) with rutin and turmeric. Synergy Caps contain 500 mg of Vitamin C and Synergy C Tabs contain 1,000 mg of Vitamin C. The capsule and tablet formulas both contain 20 mg of the highest-quality water soluble k-Rutin™ and standardized tumeric extract.

NUTRITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS AND APPLICATIONS

Vitamin C is known to perform many critical functions within the body involving detoxification, tissue building, immune enhancement, pain control, and controlling or killing pathogenic organisms. It is known to be helpful for wound and bone healing, healthy skin and eyes, fighting infections, stress control, toxic exposure, and repairing damaged tissue of all types. Adequate amounts of Vitamin C may help prevent a wide range of disease states. In comparison to Ester C Plus Tabs the ascorbic acid form of Vitamin C, buffered Vitamin C made using a water method can: 1) Increase white blood cell ascorbate levels several times more and lead to more rapid and complete absorbtion, 2) Circulate in the blood stream for a significantly longer period of time, 3) Result in a lower rate of excretion from the body, i.e., remains active in tissues longer, and 4) Have a lesser tendency to create gastrointestinal discomfort.

Polyphenols work synergistically with Vitamin C to protect and rebuild important tissues of the body. Many fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds contain polyphenols, and a diet rich in these foods provides adequate amounts. However, if the diet does not allow for proper intake of these substances, or if bodily injury or malfunction is experienced, a supplement is recommended. k-Rutin™ is a highly-soluble form of the bioflavonoid rutin. It has been shown to have powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. For example, it may be helpful to those suffering from swelling due to injury and from allergic reactions. Rutin also is known to reduce viral activity and may be helpful with chronic viral syndromes. Turmeric is a polyphenol containing substances called curcuminoids, which act as powerful antioxidants, pain relievers, and anti-inflammatories. Curcuminoids also exhibit antibacterial activity.
