SUPER ECHINACEA®

SUPER ECHINACEA® is a potent, effective, and broad-spectrum liquid herbal extract (tincture) supporting healthy immune system function. The forrmula is extracted from the roots, leaves, flowers, and stems of certified organic Echinacea purpurea in a a base of certified organic grain alcohol and distilled water. Super Echinacea provides both the water-soluble and alcohol-soluble immunomodulating constituents of the plant. The echinacea in this product is harvested at optimal potency (and is not fumigated or irradiated).

Echinacea is a genus of herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the daisy family (Asteraceae) native to eastern and central North America. As a group, the nine species are generally referred to as “purple coneflowers” (yet are found in a variety of colors). Historically, therapeutic herbal preparations are extracted from various echinacea species, including E. purpurea, E. angustifolia, and E. pallida.

Echinacea has a long and extensive history of use among Native Americans before the arrival of Europeans into the Americas. Native Americans introduced Europeans to therapeutic and medicinal uses of echinacea. By the 19th century, knowlege and use of echinacea was widespread in America, especially due to its popularity among individuals influenced by the eclectic movement. Today echinacea is an established herbal remedy recognized and used throughout the world.

CONSIDERATIONS AND APPLICATIONS

Many scientific studies conducted in recent years support the echinacea’s effectiveness for a broad range of therapeutic purposes, especially (but not limited to) the improvement of immune system function. Because echinacea improves immune system function generally, and because immune system function is critical for overall health, echinacea supports many specific health conditions. Broad applicability makes echinacea one of the best natural immune system boosters, and perhaps the first to apply when your immunity is compromised in any way!

Among the many historical uses for which echincea is proven effective are insect stings and bites, spider and scorption bites and stings, and snake bites. For more information, please see our Supplement and Activity Schedule for Insect / Bee / Snake Stings and Bites. The protocol provides information about using echinacea in the context of dealing with stings and bites of all types. Topical applications of echinacea for stings and bites are one of the lesser known of its many many uses, but are extremely effective when applied as directed. It is well worth having echinacea on hand to effectively alleviate stings and bites of insects, spiders, scorpions, and snakes. It should be part of any emergency kit and you can take it with you (e.g., camping, hiking, etc.) for use wherever you go.

You can make an emergency kit for bites and stings that includes Herb Pharm Super Echinacea, Intestinal Rejuvenation Formula, and PRO-C™. The kit should also include homepathic pellet formulas (ledum palustre 30C, apis mellifica 30C, arnica montana 30C, etc.) It may also include Myo-MagImmune-Assist™ Daily Formula, and other formulas. See our Insect/Bee/Snake Stings and Bites protocol for more information.
