SUPER E 400 is a unique product containing d-alpha-tocopherol plus a significant amount of mixed tocopherols in a hermetically-sealed gelatin capsule. This unesterified Vitamin E product is 100 percent natural. Super E 400 contains no carrier oils or coloring agents, thereby minimizing the possibility of rancid oils or food hypersensitivity reactions.

NUTRITIONAL APPLICATIONS & CONSIDERATIONS: Vitamin E is an important antioxidant naturally obtained from food sources. It may be the only substance in the body capable of breaking free radical chain reactions, especially those reactions taking place in the fats of cell membranes. Other functions of Vitamin E include stabilizing cell membranes, protecting the lungs from air pollutants, preventing tumor growth, as well as protecting the tissues of the skin, eye, liver, breast, and calf muscle. Vitamin E also may be topically applied to minor burns and skin irritations. Research studies have shown that unesterified Vitamin E is better absorbed than esterified forms, and that d-alpha tocopherol is superior to other tocopherols (at least by a factor of two) in breaking free radical chain reactions in the body. Recent research has shown that the other tocopherols naturally found in food have some important and different metabolic functions than alpha tocopherol. Super E 400 therefore has been designed to include significant amounts of these other tocopherols. Many Vitamin E preparations contain filler oils (such as soybean oil) that may be a source of food sensitivity reactions. Super E 400 is free of carrier oils.
